NYS RCT CD - Contents
This CD contains seven (7) review books written specifically to the New York State Regents Competency curriculum and for the NYS RCT [Regents Competency Test) assessments. Although NYS Department of Education announced the "end" of the RCT program ten years ago, the state has continued producing some of the Competency Tests that some NYS schools offer to some special needs students. N&N ceased printing and "updated" editions production of our competency reviews around 1999-2000. Since then, these books have been out of print. However, for a number of schools with special needs students, there is again a need for Competency Test preparation..

This CD is now made available to assist teachers and their students to prepare for the Competency Tests in the subjects of Science (Competency in Science), English (English Writing - Competency in Writing Skills), US History (U.S. History & Government - Competency Review and U.S. History & Government - Ten Day Competency Review), and Global Studies (Global History - A Competency Review Text and Global History - Ten Day Competency Review).

The "Activation Keys" for the RCT (Competency) books and answers on this CD can only be purchased from the Company via phone (using a VISA or MasterCard or by School Purchase Order mailed to 18 Montgomery St., Middletown, NY 10940-5116 or faxed to 845-342-6910

Books
The cost to purchase one (1) CD is $49.95 and entitles the purchaser to one (1) "Activation Key" for one (1) book. Additional "Activation Keys" can be purchased for an additional $9.95 per book. If additional CDs are needed for the same book, they can also be purchased for an additional $9.95 per CD.

Answers
With the purchase of at least one(1) CD with at least one (1) book, the purchaser is entitled to purchase the "Activation Key" for the ANSWERS to that book for an additional cost of $9.95.

Examples
The total cost to purchase one (1) CD with one (1) book is $49.95. One "Activation Key" for one (1) book comes with the CD at no additional charge. Adding the "Activation Key" for that book's ANSWERS is an additional $9.95, for a cost of $59.90 plus $5.00 shipping and NYS Sales Tax (if no school tax exemption).

If one (1) CD with book "Activation Key" is purchased along with the "Activation Key" for the Answers, the purchaser may add additional "Activation Keys" for additional books on that CD for $9.95 each. Also, additional "Activation Keys" can be purchased for the purchased books for $9.95 each.

Showing Pages in Adobe Acrobat Reader
Depending on which version of Adobe Acrobat Reader you have, go to the main menu and choose "View." The drop down menu has many options. Choose the one that makes your navigating the book or answer key the easiest. For example, placing the Pages icon in your tool bar can make it easy to choose a page or re-select a previous page.

Read Out Loud in Adobe Acrobat Reader:
Depending on which version of Adobe Acrobat Reader you have, go to the main menu and choose "View." Usually at or near the bottom of the drop down menu you will see the words, "Read Out Loud." Choose the option "Activate Read Out Loud." [Note: Depending on your version of Acrobat Reader and the size of the book, Adobe Acrobat Reader may take several minutes to complete the activation. Once activated, the reading process goes smoothly and fast.] Once activated you will have additional options under this same "View" and "Read Out Loud" menu.
